St Petersburg Florida is a city filled with art. Since 2015 the city has been supporting an annual mural festival, called Shine, inviting local and international artists to make our city more beautiful.
There are over 500 murals now in St Petersburg.
There are a few ways to explore if you’d like to know more about Shine or the artists.

Take a Tour
A friend invited me to do a fun bicycle tour of St Petersburg Murals, led once a month starting at Florida Craft Art on Central Ave. You need to make a reservation and tickets are $20. This tour is a leisurely ride through downtown through Grand Central District and into the Warehouse District. It is informative, fun, and well organized.
There’s also a walking tour that focuses on murals in downtown St Pete orgalized by St. Pete Mural Tour. They are run every Sat morning and also meet at Florida Craft Arts on Central Ave. I haven’t done it myself, but I’m sure it’s great.
Tips: You can rent a bike across the street from where the tour starts. Bring water and don’t show up hungry, the tour lasts about 2 1/2 hours.
