There are a lot of beaches that are closer to St. Pete, but this one is usually empty compared to them. It’s also a state park, so if you have a park pass you can get in free. There is a snack shack in one of the two buildings near the parking area, and it serves beer. Unfortunately you have to stay in their patio area to drink it.
